Welcome to Hillcrest Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio
July 4, 2008
Welcome from Pastor Tim

Welcome!

I am glad you chose to visit our website. I see your visit as an opportunity – for you to find out what Hillcrest Baptist Church is all about… for you and Hillcrest to connect… and an opportunity to invite you to be a part of this exciting community of believers.

As Senior Pastor of Hillcrest I have the great privilege and responsibility of teaching people how to know God and how to make Him known. It’s a real joy for me to share the message of hope with others. Our goal though, is that all will go from here and share this message of hope in their neighborhoods, schools, places of employment, and homes. Here at Hillcrest our goals are expressed in a few “Be Statements:” be a Blessing to Others, be Equipped in His ways, and be Sent Out for Him.

It is our passion that we at Hillcrest live out our vision of being Christlike for the sake of others. We are striving to become a significant church with a focus more on people than programs, relationships, rather than ritual. We truly want Hillcrest to be a place where people feel comfortable discovering and exploring the truths found in God.

Hillcrest is dedicated to being a different kind of church experience: a place where you and your family can find community, significance, honesty, purpose, and a better way to live, all wrapped around a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Enjoy your visit on our web site. If you have any questions please contact us, 614/274-4333.

God Bless and Go Bless,

Tim
Hilltop Hoops Returns!!!

UPDATE: There will be no Hilltop Hoops on July 4th, and there will be a party on July 25th during the tournament. Mark your calendars!

This summer Hillcrest is bringing back the exciting basketball league called HILLTOP HOOPS for area youth entering grades 6 - 9. Hilltop Hoops is a community program including neighborhood youth and Hillcrest youth, with adult leadership.

The games will be played on the church parking lot adjacent to the church, 2480 W Broad Street.

DATES: JUNE 20 - JULY 25
TIME: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
COST: $10 league fee
AGE: 12 - 14 yrs old

The league games will be three on three. The teams will have 3 - 6 players and put together by the students themselves. Hillcrest will provide adult leadership and refrees.

Our purpose with HILLTOP HOOPS is to meet area students and build relationships with them through the game of basketball, with the hope of sharing the love of Christ in a very intentional and relational way, in a relaxed and familiar environment. Also, we are interested in the families of our students and those in our community and hope to build strong and lasting relationships with them as well.

All those in HILLTOP HOOPS will have the opportunity to learn about the love of Jesus during our devotional time.

Everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer the kids on! It will be a great time to interact with our community and church family.

Volunteers are needed to help each week, so if you're interested please contact Hilltop Hoops director, Rich Hancock at 614-274-4333.
