Welcome to Hillcrest Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio
November 23, 2008
Welcome from Pastor Tim

Welcome!

I am glad you chose to visit our website. I see your visit as an opportunity – for you to find out what Hillcrest Baptist Church is all about… for you and Hillcrest to connect… and an opportunity to invite you to be a part of this exciting community of believers.

As Senior Pastor of Hillcrest I have the great privilege and responsibility of teaching people how to know God and how to make Him known. It’s a real joy for me to share the message of hope with others. Our goal though, is that all will go from here and share this message of hope in their neighborhoods, schools, places of employment, and homes. Here at Hillcrest our goals are expressed in a few “Be Statements:” be a Blessing to Others, be Equipped in His ways, and be Sent Out for Him.

It is our passion that we at Hillcrest live out our vision of being Christlike for the sake of others. We are striving to become a significant church with a focus more on people than programs, relationships, rather than ritual. We truly want Hillcrest to be a place where people feel comfortable discovering and exploring the truths found in God.

Hillcrest is dedicated to being a different kind of church experience: a place where you and your family can find community, significance, honesty, purpose, and a better way to live, all wrapped around a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Enjoy your visit on our web site. If you have any questions please contact us, 614/274-4333.

God Bless and Go Bless,

Tim

Love & Respect Marriage Retreat November 7 & 8
On November 7th and 8th, Hillcrest will be sponsoring a marriage retreat featuring the video series “Love & Respect” by Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs. The retreat will be held at Cherry Valley Lodge with special guest, Major Young, as MC. The cost of this conference is $150 per couple, but you can receive a 15% discount if you register by October 12th, so don't wait!!

Emerson E. Eggerichs was born in Peoria, Illinois on April 30, 1951. He met his wife, Sarah, while attending Wheaton College.

Emerson and Sarah have 3 adult children, Jonathan, David and Joy.

The Love and Respect Marriage Conference provides the answer to the secret that cracks the communication code.

The conference is a presentation that unfolds three basic principles:

1. The Crazy Cycle
This cycle explains the simple reason why two good willed people negatively react to each other. (Read the Crazy Cycle Introduction for more information.)

2. The Energizing Cycle
This cycle explains how two people can positively motivate one another by doing one simple thing.

3. The Rewarded Cycle
This cycle explains what a person can do if personal expectations are unmet by a spouse.
